I’m not a huge Mamdani fan (I don’t think he’s good enough at politics to get anything done in NYC, which isn’t a bad thing about him as a person but might make him not a notable mayor) but I would root for an actual toddler over Cuomo.

I think looking at mamdani and thinking he’s bad at politics is absurd. He is clearly a once in a lifetime politician imo

Of the 275 bills he has sponsored or co-sponsored in his tenure in the assembly, only 10 have passed and all 10 were to commemorate a holiday (Martin Luther King Day, Lunar New Year, etc) or to mourn a deceased legislator, and only eight others even made it out of committee (info from billtrack50). I can’t call a politician who hasn’t managed to pass a single piece of real legislation “once in a lifetime.” Maybe in a decade or two when he had built up a real coalition, but not yet.
