Israel =/= Judaism so let’s clear that up first and hold our horses a bit here. As it stands today, the “world’s most moral army” has quite the track record of shooting children looking for aid and abusing prisoners in the worst ways possible. Not to mention the constant illegal annexation of Palestinian territory, it might as well be the modern day Sudetenland. I’m not sure why Zionists are so insistent on defending a state that’s shown a consistent contempt for international law

Israel BUTCHERS people and says it’s in the interest of all Jews, that this action represents all Jewish people, that Jews NEED the lebensraum, to manifest their fucking destiny all over the land. It’s fucking appalling, and when Jewish people defend it, encourage it, and take part in it, people start to think that all Jewish people are just like that.

Do you have anything so say of radical Islamic states? Like Hamas? Who hoard aid then shoot people trying to get it from the trucks. Then charge people for the aid they stole. Then rape women in exchange for aid. Who murder people and publicly execute them if they don’t support them. Who refuse to agree to peace.

I will happily criticize Muslim states for terrible shit they have done. I’m like the only person I know who frequently brings up the terrible treatment of Bidoons by Kuwait, or the Moroccan occupation of the Western Sahara, or the Egyptian expulsion of Maltese, Greeks, and Italians (their expulsion of Jews is more often acknowledged). But guess what dude, bringing up “well this other country does bad shit” doesn’t invalidate ethnic cleansing. It’s a terrible attempt at distraction.

Turkey genocided Christian minorities in the early 1900s. It doesn’t matter that some of those Armenians were militants, or that Russia had genocided Muslim Circassians in the years prior. Crimes against humanity don’t negate each other.

I think it’s really notable that any criticism of Israel in any way has to be met with deflection, because you can’t actually defend Israel’s actions. Instead you need to wildly gesture at other polities because if we actually looked at Israel’s actions it would undermine your narrative that it is free of all critique.

That’s not nazi propaganda, that’s taking a look at the Jewish Supremacist state expelling people from their homes, ethnically cleansing the land, and murdering them in camps so that they can grab as much lebensraum as they can in wars with multiple surrounding nations. As a historian I gotta say they’re pretty similar.
