i feel dumb why is it not latin -e? like a is feminine, o is masculine, x is like dumb cover, but e is in the middle

I’m hispanic and I rarely here people actually use that word, but it is cool to have a new term that’s kinda for people that don’t feel like 100% black or white but live in the gray

i mean you can be a white hispanic and "latinx" still applies. the term is meant to be all encompassing gender wise to my knowledge, not so much having to do with race.
