Seriously though, if debt forgiveness was the enacted, no one would pay for college and the system would get overwhelmed and collapse

That only works in countries with low amounts of students seeking higher education, in Europe if you don’t have good enough grades you cannot get a college education, if that was also implemented in the US then I would support free college education

It happened during the post war era, veterans could go to college paid by the state and by most accounts that’s what created the golden age of capitalism

“Good grades” I know people that went to university with 2.2 gpa, still with the current college culture I don’t think free high education would be sustainable in the US
