reminder that John Deere has a monopoly over farm equipment and refuses to allow farmers to fix their own equipment without nullifying warranties… so their John Deere equipment sits broken for months/years before the company sends someone to repair it

A monopoly? What about CNH, AGCO, Kubota, CLAAS, Mahindra, SDF, Yanmar, JCB, and Caterpillar? Did they all suddenly stop selling farm equipment?

it’s like the McDonald’s ice cream machine situation. One company provides the product, and ONLY that company is allowed to conduct repairs or maintenance on that product. It’s anti-ownership.

This was published last year but that would be nice. They did the same with McD ice cream machine monopoly over repairs/maintenance
