Not really. What’s your problem with tech and innovation? We might be the generation that gets space travel and u think it’s a dystopian shithole

This is the real world dawg we’re out here paying bills and you’re hyping up 5 minutes of suborbital for 6 figures. You’re not in the club

“6 figures” is underselling our inequality issue. Those people are billionaires.

1,000,000,000 is 10 figures and 999,999,999,999 is 12 figures. 6 figures is not even close to the club.

Computers used to cost six figures, and now you can get one for $500. Just because billionaires and wealthy people get access to new technology first doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing. Innovation drives costs down over time, making that technology more accessible to everyone.

I think the “6 figures” thing is how much it costs to go on a suborbital space flight

Yup you’re right. A new Shepard seat costs 2 to 4 million. For 11 minutes in suborbital

The first computers weren’t accessible to the general public. Now you have one 100,000,000x smarter and sophisticated than it in your pocket.

Neuralink lets people control computers with their thoughts and could help paralyzed people regain movement and communication. In the future, it could let humans connect directly with AI and computers through their brains. The potential to change what humans are capable of is actually insane. Imagine bed rotting but controlling your ai avatar to go do a task for you.

Tbh idrc how much it costs. There are other things that desperately need funding, and the people invested in the industry have a lot more than 6 figures. A suborbital space flight costs chump change to them

Yes I understand very clearly that the problem is capitalism. I’m already extremely wealthy in the department I actually care about: knowledge and critical thought. I don’t care about positioning myself above others in society.

There’s gonna be all types of safeguards in place to protect people. I think the world will be better with it than without. And I appreciate that you have actual reasons to dislike it and don’t do so bc it’s popular

I don’t think people actually object to flying cars and the future and things like that - I think people object to this stuff going around unregulated and uncontrolled by the public. We object to the distribution of wealth, which will keep all of this stuff in the hands of a few wealthy fools, rather than in the hands of those who can actually use it.
