I mean I didn’t use it but I still think it’s wrong for a company to be able to claim your dna as their property and then essentially sell it to another company which can then use it for profit, possible denial of service, genetic tracking, etc.

They aren’t claiming or copywriting your dna. They just have the information that you paid to give them. And they can choose what they want to do with that information legally, I don’t agree with this at all but frankly I also think that companies like 23andMe and Ancestry should either follow HIPAA rules or not exist
