Hot take: if women should be allowed to terminate pregnancies because they don’t want/aren’t ready to be mothers (which they definitely should), then men should be allowed to walk away without being held criminally or socially responsible

It’s a tough point to get out before people jump to assumptions and start yelling at you (given our climate I understand this) but I think you’re absolutely correct. If two parents are surprised with an unplanned pregnancy and the mother wants to keep the baby but the father isn’t ready to be a father, the father should absolutely be allowed to peacefully part ways. Consent to sex isn’t consent to raise a child, that goes for men and women

this would be a lot more reasonable if being a single parent were less financially stressful than it is in the current economy 😔 agreed though!

Glad we agree! Some people hear this and think I’m pro life. I’m pro choice. In fact, I’m so pro choice that I think everyone involved should get the most amount of choice possible 😂

I’m the same way! I’ve gotten yelled at for (perhaps not eloquently) trying to explain this same stance. I do get how people have a bad knee jerk reaction here though given all the terrible takes floating around on the topic
