It doesn’t seem like an issue to you because you’re not transgender, you don’t live with the condition of dysmorphia. Again, you wouldn’t understand unless you actually put yourself in the shoes as a transgender person.

There are plenty of transgender people that I’ve talked to that also don’t really care about the difference and don’t care what their sex says on their passport.

They care more about how they are viewed by everybody rather than the specifics in short. It’s not that they are against science or anything, it’s just a word on your ID to them.

You are misunderstanding what being transgender feels like, I’m not transgender so I really am not good at explaining it. It’s not they “believe they are another gender” they feel that way, they act that way, they dress that way, they just are the other gender, they just don’t have the right genitals. It’s like how you don’t question if you’re a man or a woman, they don’t question whether they are actually transgender or not, they just are, dysphoria is a side affect of not being accepted as who

And the whole government identification thing, I think it should list whatever the person looks like rather than what they got in their pants because in emergency situations that will be much more helpful

If a doctor is looking around for a man in need, they wouldn’t bat an eye at this person, because that’s not what a man looks like generally. This is why people argue that whatever it says on your ID should be what you look like/identify as because it’s more helpful.

It should say what you are comfortable with AND the point of the ID (which stands for Identification btw) being to visually IDENTIFY a person. If someone wants it say female because they identify as a woman and look like one then who actually cares. It doesn’t affect your life in any way yet you guys will cry about it non-stop.
