I spoke to them in greater detail and since they're freshly 18 as in the past few months they have yet to have a primary care physician. I stressed to them that the red tape is kind of dumb and "if you need the care you need the care" and they agreed. Just wanted to update.

It’s pretty common for young people to not have primary care doctors… Simple enough to get one though :) ( Just have em go to their university health clinic I assume )

I feel like it’s normal in America, how tf are you going to pay for it; it’s not normal globally and it shouldn’t be normal
