It could though, IF our system wasn’t allowed to be bought. Need to pressure a supermajority of Congress to overturn Buckley v. Valeo (1976), which deregulated lobbying & campaign finance. There’s a reason productivity decoupled from wages then, a reason we’ve privatized power grids, hospitals, schools, etc., a reason we’ve mYsTeRiOuSLy gone 38+ trillion in debt. Money in politics = the death of the Akkadians, Greeks, Romans, Incans, Ottomans, and soon us - unless we act.
