Idk I’ve never watched the show but isn’t he SUPPOSED to be wrong? Isn’t he supposed to be so fueled with hatred that he makes the worst decision possible, aren’t we supposed to know that

Actually yes it’s supposed to show how someone who was supposed to be the a savior turned into a killing machine slowly but surely I mean eren had hundreds of people die for him all those deaths on his shoulders he felt the only way to survive was to kill everyone else that Annihilation would be preferable to being “trapped”
