Because we didn’t know how important stuff like fluoride was until less than 100 years ago 😭 when rich people’s teeth fell out, they often had wooden teeth or literally other people’s teeth put in

I’m not sure how thats relevant, but there are actually more slaves today than at anytime in history. The average American has 1.2 decayed, missing, or filled teeth which is the 9th best in the world and one of the best in human history.
