The party switch is a real thing and before you say “no it’s not😤”, the switch didn’t LITERALLY mean people went from one side to the other. It meant the ideals of those parties started to change until they ended up like they are today. Lincoln was a republican but would have not been identified as one had he been alive today. What’s happening now? The KKK is still prominent. The “war on drugs” was directly caused by white leaders placing drugs in poor black communities which shaped how so many of them have turned out today. There is a disproportionate amount of people of color being killed by cops or given significantly longer sentences for the same crime as a white person. Neighborhoods of color are underfunded in schools. I could go on and on.
