They prob meant just right, that’s the one issue with only having 5 options max on polls

I said they were centrist in the moment but upon thinking I should have put center-right. They would be a center-right party in the average Western European country and maybe center in the average Central European country.

Yeah, I put Center right, I can def see an argument for center or even pure right

The Democrats are super right on economics and the military, but compared to alot of Central/ European, Eastern European, and Balkan countries, the Democrats would have a left of center stance on immigration and LGBT stances, which should count for something in the final analysis.

I am a bit biased being an anarcho-communist so everything feels far-right to me.

You know you’re still allowed to say mothers and breast feeding, right? The term “birthing person” is referring generally to trans people. Yk, people who aren’t women who can give birth.

Oh no doctors and medical experts are slightly changing terminology to be more inclusive! The tyranny!

No, they want minors who have been prescribed hormone therapy/puberty blockers by licensed doctors to have access to care without interference from the government.

Because not wanting kids to have access to life-saving medication is exclusively a far-right thing, hope this helps

Better than raping them, which is the alternative. Sure. It’s also just not dangerous and morally acceptable to be trans. That is not the case for being conservative, which makes you significantly more likely to commit acts of domestic terror.

That’s what I’ve said with more words. Either way the “science” of this issue has been negatively impacted by politics though. We’ve seen people bury studies that might aren’t politically acceptable and researchers face consequences if they publish in a way that doesn’t align with the universities political values.

Or maybe there's a reason those "studies" aren't published in high quality, peer-reviewed medical journals?

What evidence do you have of this happening?

upvote 3 downvote
🌲
Anonymous replying to -> #1 12w

If a researcher doesn’t submit for peer review because they don’t like the results or fear blowback then the study won’t be peer reviewed or published.

Yes and what evidence do you have that this is happening and specifically in the context of gender affirming care?

Lmao maybe if republicans weren't deadset on eliminating LGBTQ youth people could actually do proper science. I disagree with not publishing but understand why.

upvote 3 downvote
🌲
Anonymous replying to -> #1 12w

Nobody is trying to kill transgender youth. But you’re justifying the politicization of science with the science you just politicized.

I said I disagreed with not publishing? We need all information to make an informed and data-backed opinion. But don't pretend like republicans are somehow pro science. They deny climate change. They deny trans people exist. They deny vaccines. They deny that race and gender are social constructs. And unless there is clear and consistent evidence, the government should not be involved in private healthcare decisions.

Anonymous replying to -> #1 12w

Whether gender or race is a social construct is entirely dependent on how you define the words it’s not something you can prove or disprove empirically. There is unwarranted skepticism of climate change amoung conservatives but I’m not familiar with people refusing to publish like we see here.
