I was pretty firmly against the idea that Israel was targeting civilians until I saw how they managed to conduct a precise strike on some Iranian scientist’s apartment. In a residential building. That’s fucking insane.

I mean it was pretty obvious from their conduct in Gaza

Yeah I mean no shade but sorta what 1 said, this been obvious. They’ve been caught shooting out peoples kneecaps and they intentionally murdered a team of medics and buried them and their ambulance, then lied about how they died until video footage emerged.

I think there’s a difference between some dumb grunts shooting whatever moves vs explicitly targeting civilians. The Israeli Air Force shooting missiles and bombs to eliminate terrorist who happens to be in a crowd makes less sense when they don’t have the capabilities they demonstrated against Iran. To me, having that ability, and not using it really proves they’re targeting civilians

How? I think you’d maybe have a point if we lived in a universe where IDF soldiers murdering civilians was viewed as wrong and soldiers who did that faced consequences, but we don’t. The IDF has consistently shot children and civilians in the knees or head, intentionally murdered a team of medics (dressed in their uniforms, in an ambulance, lights on), assassinated doctors with drones, bombed volunteers in their marked vehicles…etc

They’ve always bragged about their ability to gather intelligence and conduct precision strikes. The fact that they chose to operate with zero regard for Palestinian civilians lives tells us all we need to know about their priorities

Point being, it’s systemic. This wouldn’t happen as a result of a few careless grunts.
