Look up Bacon’s Rebellion of 1676, and look up the rich people’s reaction to that rebellion, and consider the how we’re STILL dealing with the consequences of that reaction today. Their playbook has never changed, and we keep falling for it.

Billionaires did not invent the concept of anti gay marriage, nor do they force constituents of religious systems to discriminate against transgender people.

They actually have. Anything that divides us is just another tool. Look up the lavender scare of the 1950s, the stonewall riots and the reaction thereof in the late 60s/70s, Raegan’s reaction to the AIDS crisis in the 80s, the culture wars of the 90s. Anything to distract people and blame them while they steal our livelihoods from us to enrich themselves even more than they already are.

There’s only one war, and there has only ever been one war. It’s the rich vs the poor. We could beat overwhelm them at any time, but they culture war to make it left vs right, gay vs straight, cis vs trans, black vs white. “It’s not our fault you can’t afford a house, it’s their fault, the people with no political influence or money, they’re the bad ones”

My point here is don’t get mad at the poor for falling for culture war tactics and not knowing better. Get mad at the people telling them how to think.
