I promise im here in good faith but I didn’t take it that way? Pretty sure what he was referencing is that the national gun violence archive defines a mass shooting as anything that kills 4 or more people, which includes everything from sandy hook to a drive by. what he was trying to say was that the “number of mass shootings per year” statistic can be manipulated depending on whether you include gang related shootings or not

no I get that but that’s not what the context of the convo was. he may have the perception that black people are violent because of gang shootings but that wasn’t his angle in this specific situation. He was waiting for the guy to say the like 5k mass shootings stat from the archive and “debunk” it
