It’ll be really hard and you won’t be able to continue it forever tho, smartphones are in function a necessity in modern America. But it’d be valiant and I’d respect the effort.

Most flip phones that work in the US use T9, not QWERTY keyboards. so, it really depends how confident you are with T9/how much you are willing to practice. i personally think they're pretty good- so long as you have another device like a laptop, to fill the gaps (music, entertainment, etc.) or if you don't really care about that stuff.
