American Muslims are generally more religiously oriented than many globally. There are people who have some weird racialization/cultural view of the faith that don’t follow it much sure, but they are a minority in my experience. May God guide them though

Allah is Arabic for God, Jesus peace be upon him spike Aramaic and would call God Allaha. I’m not Arab, so I’ll call God that since I speak English, but when I’m around fellow Muslims or thinking in my head I’ll say Allah bc that is the language God chose to give his message in and that I study the faith in. I pray in the same ancient Arabic the prophet pbuh prayed in

Christian Arabs say Allah as well for example. Muslims are just more connected to our original scriptures and tradition regardless of our individual cultures and ethnicities, so we keep the language the same as God revealed it in and use it as our daily religious lingo. When I’m speaking in English and non religious settings I’ll say God more, but rly I use both a lot
