Correct. There have been genocides of christians and there could have been one, but this isn’t one. It’s still bad, but it’s not a genocide not exclusively affecting christians. But conservative christians in the USA need to push a persecution complex and fearmonger about Islam. They don’t actually care about persecuted christians (see Arab christians in Israel-Palestine and of course the Christian immigrants they are deporting). They care about the concept of persecuted Christians.
