It is not about the tragedy of one person dying, though I’m sure it’s tragic for the family. It’s about the way an assassination like this erodes away democratic norms. That’s why people care about this when we don’t mourn for the 600,000K people who die of cancer each year.

Yes but only different becouase of the implications for public safety not becouase it’s more or less tragic.
