They should at least pay the families. We shot down an Iranian airliner in the 80s by accident and killed hundreds of ppl but we acknowledged the mistake and paid them

The problem is we are at war usually these types of mistakes aren’t compensated during war time usually after a war as a sign of reconciliation. We weren’t at war with Iran during in 80s. Far easier to admit a mistake and pay quickly

One would have to trust the current regime would give the resources to the families. Speaking to my Iranian coworkers, both they and I doubt it would make it to the families.
