if Democrats win and do nothing, do we still have to vote for them in 2028?

At the state level, go case by case. If the same corporate Dems are calling shots in 2027, then I would say no in 2028.

Yes. Nothing is still an absence of bad

So we would still have some level of progress, even if it’s lower than what we want, and out voices wouldn’t be muted and silenced like they are under MAGA so we can push for the change we want. Please put on ur thinking cap when voting. and anything is better than regression.

Why don’t you use your leverage to force democrats to compromise with you? They’re not entitled to your vote

You already don't have to vote for them because you already know even with literally 100% of the vote they will do NOTHING. Their GOAL is to do nothing and have their base think that as the highest virtue

I’d rather be optimistic about social democrats at state/local levels making their own way.

i’m voting green for governor and workers for house. all of the other seats are a republican running uncontested (easy abstain) or it’s the senator to which the Democratic candidate doesn’t seem too far off from the Republican one aside from the obvious trump issue

If you’re not going to vote for the democrats now, why even make this post?

I think you should, while understanding that the democrats can’t do everything with a simple majority. They can hopefully stop the war and the tarrifs, but I don’t know if they can pass much legislation without 60 for the filibuster

y’all are telling folks who are unhappy with the Democratic party’s lack of a campaign to shut up and vote for them. Democrats cannot even be convinced not to send arms to a genocide, what makes you think you could get more from them?

Well nowhere did I say that. who’s “yall” lmao. how are u going to preach about being anti-bipartisan and then immediately generalize and group random people together in the same conversation

We don’t even know who the democratic presidential candidates are yet. Mamdani and James Talarico are democrats btw.

Also the left is a spectrum, I’d say liberals are an in between of Dems (blind supporters of the party) and leftists
