Stop trying to make Trump sound good. Also, in the case of Trump, it’s not the state owning private companies, it’s private companies owning the state. Huge difference

No. The state has equity in private companies now and has board seats. MP Materials, Intel, etc. The government (state) currently owns part of private companies. And communism is cringe and bad. Don’t talk about things you don’t understand.

The elected do, and they don’t always do the will of the people. If you’re trying to make the point that the private industry controls the state, that’s wrong for multiple reasons. First, no private company wants tariffs. Private firms will suck up to trump to get better deals, but do not decide tariff levels or other things. They participate as much as they can but they have no real control.
