“Fun” fact: it’s found that in 20000 BCE Europe, women had very diverse DNA, while men’s DNA was bottle necked in certain regions. The leading theory is that claim raids were a common thing, where men would raid camps, kill each other, and steal the women and take them back as prizes - the more the captured, the more sons to send off dying capturing more women
