when i was in kindergarten we learned about johnny appleseed and christopher columbus on the same day and i got confused and thought they were the same person. in my head christopher columbus landed in the americas, immediately thought “this place needs apple trees” then put a pot on his head, changed his name to johnny appleseed, and spent the rest of his life wandering around planting apple trees. i now know that is DEFINITELY NOT what columbus did after he landed in the americas
