For those who don’t know, there isn’t really a legal system that oppresses Muslims, but the government knowingly encourages discrimination against them. They are commonly used as scapegoats for the government’s mistakes (e.g. COVID outbreaks, societal unrest, etc.). Muslim homes, mosques, and businesses are targeted in some areas. The Citizenship Amendment Act allows immigrants from nearby countries to be on a fast track for citizenship, but has religious criteria…
