Well, some people like to spread misinformation about certain groups and say that the people represented by these months aren’t deserving of the same standards that people of their in group are. Therefore, rational people decided: “hey, we need to affirm to these people that we recognize and support their existence” Should that be necessary? Hell no. Is it necessary because of certain groups hating on others? Hell yes.

It’s not even just for underrepresented or oppressed groups, but sometimes to celebrate great achievements. That’s why we just celebrated national military appreciation month in May. “Uh it’s confusing to follow!” Is a shitty reason for wanting to do away with the whole concept lol
