I don’t think we need to raise the minimum wage. However I do believe that *everything* in this country needs to be scaled to reflect the minimum wage (Rent, groceries, entertainment, healthcare costs, tuition, etc) be able to afford on a $15,080 salary.

Minimum wage is not meant to be for an adult’s full time job…

Whatever works, I think countries with large denominations look crazy I also think legal punishments should be scaled off the lowest quartile

I wish we didn’t have to obey the laws of gravity, but it’ll still exist no matter what laws we pass. The same is true of the laws of supply and demand. You can’t legislate down the price of all consumer goods for everyone. It’s been tried before and it always ends in disaster. The best you can do is to follow the advice of economists and create the preconditions for economic growth.

A minimum wage job should not be able to afford all of those things. It’d for a teenager to have a little extra money on the weekend lmao

Then that’s not in the spirit of its creation

So would you prefer for people to be homeless and sick? Whats the point of calling someone lazy, then said lazy person gets a job at Taco Bell, however Taco Bell isn’t a “real job” so that person shouldn’t be able to comfortably afford a 1 bed apartment, groceries or healthcare? And if they ask for government assistance they are cheating the system so no SNAP for them. Now doesn’t that sound fucking crazy?

A one bedroom apartment is a luxury. Nearly the entire world for nearly all of history has lived with roommates.

That’s not trolling. It’s not inhumane to share a kitchen.
