I mean they said no accomplishments. That’s one, as well as the enforcement of equal protection, before the DOE children that came not speaking English had 0 access to ESL support and were basically just left to their own devices. Before the DOE there wasn’t effective federal enforcement of civil rights laws in public schools. Before the DOE the poorest schools had no access to basic support like reading and math tutors to aid the poorest children in the nation. There are a lot of benefits.
That’s the issue, you fundamentally don’t understand what the DOE does. You think test scores are a federal responsibility? Our system is set up to give almost total control to the state and local schools, the federal governments role is to help enforce federal mandates like the IDEA and the Civil rights act.
