This is exactly how it goes for corporations as they've done it for years: push the blame onto the consumer. Same thing happening in England right now. Government builds data centers that pollute the air and consume vast quantities of water, yet they demand the people delete old photos and documents from their computer to "save water."

Is that really what’s happens 💀That’s silly if real. I know in the states, people who live next to data centers often have water quality problems and/or random health problems from the data center.

Companies did it for years with recycling. Remember how you were taught to put certain plastics in certain bins? It turns out it doesn't really matter as most of it ends up in a landfill anyways, companies just wanted to put that burden on consumers rather than themselves.
