It sounds good at a surface level but it is an extreme invasion of freedom and privacy. It sets a dangerous precedent for government censorship and control of information. It will also lead to minors going to extremely unsafe sites. Just another example of the government identifying a problem and the solution being much worse.

You are giving the government direct access to your browsing history. Do you remember what happened in Canada a few years ago with Justin Trudeau with the frozen bank accounts? Do you know about RFK’s health database or MAGA’s Palantir database? It is not at all a partisan issue.

having to give your ID to websites just to access them is fucking insane. instead of parents needing to do the bare fucking minimum to raise their kids governments would prefer to use it as an excuse for open mass surveillance
