this is a bad take. any military conflict is bad for people. you cannot control their actions, and panic is panic no matter if it founded in reality. even dumb discussions on yik yak stir up fear and nationalism, which set the stage for public approval of a larger conflict. we should be scrutinizing any military intervention anywhere
