Tbf it’s not an airbase, but he’s allowing Qatari Air Force to build their own facility within one of our bases in Idaho. Which is arguably a bit worse bc why are we giving foreign militaries (esp one that we don’t have a strong alliance with) access to our bases

I guess that just got announced. Quatr is our friend. Having extra F-15 fighter jets has a lot of strategic and military advantages. Also I think we have an airbase in Qatar too so it makes sense

Yes this is fucked. We have programs to train foreign pilots on F jets. There’s no need to let them build on/occupy our bases.

It’s Qatar you dunce. Sure, having a middle eastern country have a military base on our own land is a greattt deal, not like they’re close to our military or other critical infrastructure. F-15 jets that are Qatar’s that were not gonna be able to use is “good” for us somehow?😂

This deal was provisionally approved by Obama’s state department in 2016 and signed in 2017 Trump’s secretary of Defense
