I sort of love it people exclaim Jesus’s name in situations when some part of them encounters something they know only God can help them with 😆 Once you see it you can’t unsee it.

The hubris you must have to think you know if God does or does not give a shit about something is wondrous. I may as well be talking to Satan himself. (Been a long time, enjoying yourself with this one?)

not a thing changing and people are dying having this dogshit as all they ever knew. supernatural benevolent powers ignoring issues (including significantly grander problems throughout the world) doesnt really strike me as caring.

Well considering he acts through us… and I am not ignoring the issues, nor have I ignored others suffering (not always, but I’m getting better about it) and you might be, it makes sense why you don’t see God where I do. Give yourself some credit #5, you’re more capable than you know in this moment to contribute ridding the world of the suffering you despise.

is god also acting through the perpetrators? or are they not "us?" side question that i gotta ask: is your god the christian god? the one that is supposed to be benevolent, omniscient, and omnipotent? the one who has a plan for all of us?

God simply IS. If you have some kind of issue with the branding people take and attach to their connection with such a concept, you’re welcome to take it up with them. I too am at odds with many who call themselves Christians. But if you consider it mathematically, something everywhere and in all things, would have a conceptual opposite, which would be Satan/the Adversary (take your pick) and that would be, again, conceptually, who perpetrators abusing one another, would be letting act 1/2

2/2 through them. So it becomes a bit of a reconcilable paradox I admit. Because to be everywhere and in all things, and to contain something wicked, abusive, anti-benevolent, etc does not seem benevolent on the surface. But, if it did not contain things that were anti-benevolence, then benevolence would not longer be a choice. Take our conversation for instance. You could choose to be more courteous than you are, and I understand there’s a reason you might not be comfortable sharing as to 2/3

3/3 why you aren’t being at least open to communicating about it. Everyone has their reasons. But I’m not looking to cause you any more pain than you’re already in, existence is hard enough, there’s no need to make it harder on one another.

wow that was a lot of yammer to completely ignore everything i said and instead talk completely sideways, randomly, and baselessly with a handful of thinly veiled insults sprinkled in. "if you consider it mathematically" and then a random assertion to say your god (which you refuse to identify because i guess youre scared of actually talking about it? maybe another reason that i dont know but its very strange) has an opposite because of math (? ok show me your proofs?)

like i dont know how much more disingenuous you could be, you randomly say "you could choose to be more courteous than you are" and act like thats something we've been communicating about but that i apparently have a "reason" for being so but im not "at least open to communicating about it" -- im not even touching on how abysmally thats written. barely comprehensible. its so extremely condescending. youve been condescending every comment youve written. disingenous, condescending, and backhanded

to the end of my initial question, because it was obviously a series of leading questions: the christian god is supposedly all knowing (your sins, deeds, reconciliations, absolutions, etc when you get to st peter and heaven; or being a grand orchestrator able to build to this current moment and beyond from genesis), all powerful (creation, destruction, etc), and benevolent (a good god, forgiving, graceful, not wrathful).

this god apparently has a plan for everybody, you lose a family member and its gods plan to make you stronger or whatever example you want to go with. hes supposed to be a supernatural force that builds the world to be as it is in heaven. except some people go to hell. free will? sure! though this omniscient god knew this person would do what damned them. it was "His" plan. a person created and their free will was known to damn them from when they were created. not benevolent.

"case in point" you didnt make a point. i asked a question and you refused. went on a tangent. then you insulted me. if you really think you made a point, youre welcome to be as blunt and succinct about your point as possible. and im not in pain. im irritated and annoyed by your type being condescending. you comment on this post to be a prick and you knew that. you responded by being a prick. and then you ran and insulted. all while still condescending all over.

I once was angry enough to question God, to demand answers as to why the world I was seeing was so vile & wicked. I prayed I would better understand God, not his plan, God. Perhaps a grave error because shortly after that the world killed my son and then everyone close to me denied his existence. (In their defense the child was never mine, but I nearly went insane because rather than face the guilt of contributing to what I was experiencing, most people chose to kick me while I was down) 1/2

2/2 I no longer try to understand the long term plan for each person, and while I can give mathematical approximations of what things likely mean, it’s quite dangerous to put yourself in a position where you believe you’re fit to judge something even remotely like God, plans that span millennia, suffering beyond our imagination as individuals, etc.

As a “prophet” it’s important to see what is coming and try to avoid these things. But it’s an apt metaphor for ignoring what will consume you if you head in the wrong direction. I wouldn’t wish it upon you.

Ask the people who do DMT or peyote if they understand fairy tales better now. They’ve allegedly talked to “elves”. There’s likely a very good reason those stories survived as long as they did.
