I honestly don’t see a reason not to split the blue and red states anymore. Economically, politically, and most important culturally. I’m tired of my tax money in a major GDP blue state going to support red states that contribute nothing

Blue states pay more in federal taxes than they get in return. This goes to support the many rural red states who operate at a tax defect. Wyoming is being propped up by California’s tax money.
