As a leftist one of the most annoying things to be dismissed by is "if you don't like it, then just leave!" Yea i wouldn't be criticizing my country if i didn't want to say. Tl/dr i'm trying to make my country a better place for everyone because i love it

I get that, however, since you say you’re a leftist I’ll remind you: 1) This is the only nation in the world where you have a completely unrestricted right to free speech. 2) This is the only developed nation in the world aside from Mexico where your right to keep and bear arms is recognized and protected by Constitution. 3) The free and open market is responsible for the creation of more prosperity in the past 100 years than in all of previous human history combined.

Then don’t criticize. Some of us like the United States just the way it is

I do go outside. Real life isn’t anything like how the news and media over sensationalizes it. That’s why the world actually feels good to me right now.

If your “making the country better for everybody” runs afoul of any of those three things it’s time to reevaluate your positions or move to any one of the dozens of countries that already suits you better.

the actual american left is the only group in the countries history who has actually tried to meaningfully bear arms against the united states government (the black panthers, NOI and other similar black power movements in the 60s through 80s) which lead to almost all of the gun legislation in this country passed in that period (automatic weapon bans, the milford act, most of calis gun legislation)

Nice deflection that has nothing to do with my point. If you don’t want to live in the United States but want to keep your right to keep and bear arms, your choices are Mexico or Guatemala. Move to Germany or something.

the free market didn’t make that prosperity the industrial revolution did and it also created massive amounts of pollution and suffering through irresponsible manufacturing (which legislating the market has done a lot to curb but still has a long way to go, google why the entire planet is contaminated with PFAS) and most of the prosperity in the first world is off the backs of extracting resource and labor from the third world through neo colonial efforts at the start of the last century

Well now you’re just commie posting because you’re triggered by the statement, which is true despite the excesses of capital. You can curb the excesses of capital without abolishing it, and even social democracies believe in privately owned capital and markets because they’re not fucking regarded.
