Oregon is great. There’s definitely shitheads in the rural parts who’ll make a great big fuss about gender, but most folks up here are of the persuasion to leave each other alone. City conservatives are more like “Mitt Romney Republicans”

As a Virginian, I am confused by this. We don’t have nearly as strong protections for trans people as other states (though I hope the new state gov will change that)

As far as the south goes, I don’t think it gets much better than northern VA and Richmond

I certainly would agree for the southeastern region, but it’s still not quite as good as the northeast, west coast, or Great Lakes. I’m from Williamsburg and it’s pretty safe.
