Yup there’s a lot of people who will call something antisemitic when it’s actually just antizionist. There’s also the issue of the pro Palestine crowd SOMETIMES assuming that because someone is Jewish they’re also a Zionist

Mainstream media has played a massive part in making people think that way. Media calling people “self hating Jews” for being anti Zionist and other such coverage is making people conflate Jewish and Zionist as the same.

Yup. I’m Jewish and I’ve been called a “Zionist baby killer” for celebrating Chanukkah with my family. I’m all for free Palestine ofc, genocide is always bad. just don’t use it to harass random Jewish people 😭. it’s antisemitic and also makes free Palestine lose credibility which is bad.

to add on. Israeli people aren’t automatically evil genocidal zionists. I have a lot of family there, and most of them don’t agree with the government. calling them all genocidal is like calling every American MAGA. Hate the government not random people.

For sure. Some people (antisemites) find it hard to differentiate between the Israeli state and the Israeli people. We aren’t under control of “the Jews” but our government is heavily influenced by foreign actors from the Israeli state to push their narratives and support their agendas
