Military have to work even tho they don’t agree with the leader. They took an oath to up hold the laws as they are written and are being written. Its not “they should suffer bc thats what they chose” its they chose to serve and protect (not that they do a good job with that) but resigning bc someone you don’t like based on race or any other reason and who has said nothing about affecting your job and career shouldn’t be allowed.

Apologizing for telling the truth is wild. But he hasn’t threaten to defund them, cut their numbers, or anything like that. He actually said he wants to employ more officers (different fields) to make their lives easier.

Cops aren’t in the military. Police officers are at will employees. Even then, you can still resign whenever you want in the military, you just lose some benefits.

depending on what you go for is it not. just like boot camp you get different a mos you gotta go to another school. Ik ppl who went through the academy and theyre nerdy mfs most definitely but its just quality of training.

you cant resign until your contract is up in the military. and even then they still took an oath just like the military so why resign bc some “scawy minowity” comes to office.

In my area it’s like 6-8 weeks to graduate through the police academy last time I checked 💀 which is crazy

If you are in law enforcement, you are agreeing to follow the elected officials’ instructions and are a civil servant, but if you ditch being a civil servant because the boss had called them out of their poor behavior and performance (which the people you serve agreed with and supported), you clearly weren’t serving the people. If your boss gives you an illegal or immoral order, and you resign, great! If your boss says the truth that your department has done shitty things and you throw a tantrum

They shouldn’t be forced to stay, in all honesty the trash took itself out on this one, but like people who quit being a civil servant after their department was called on their shit are clearly not good people. Having a boss say negative things about your department before being elected as your boss, and you resign immediately without knowing his plans for the department or anything??? Petty as fuck.

also i just remembered... cuomo promised to hire 5000 new police officers. i mean its strange the two numbers are the same, maybe coincidence. but i checked atensnuts post, which is a quote tweet of a like gitmo99 or something sharing a screen recorded video of a youtube short of a random guy saying he dropped a report on 5k officers quitting.

Either way you put it using 5k resigning officers to make a point. If its bc of mamdani theyre fucking racist and should go and never work on the force again. If its not and something else using it as if was bc of mamdani is still racist but makes them look even worse than they do. Either way its a political suicide stunt.
