You can be equal by race and separated by your qualifications/past choices/etc. that’s why the NBA is a majority black league. I mean the chant is literally “kill the boer”. This could be a poor choice of wording which is why it’s interpreted in that specific way for so many people. It could be that verbs which mean the same thing in English have different meanings in the native language, or the chant is literally what it is saying in English as in the native language.
