The government can barely run an office to give out driver’s licenses. I cannot fathom how bad the government would be at running airlines.

The only reason you believe this to be impossible is bc car manufacturers told you so. America used to have a wonderful transit system, but car companies said “but what if we made everyone buy cars instead”. Have you even SEEN Who Framed Roger Rabbit? It’s based off a real scheme. Same price and 10x as long. I could spend $230 round trip for a 2hr flight, or I could pay $250 for 28 FUCKING HOURS OF TRAIN
