I’m always surprised by this because I worked at a fully remote company with 120+ employees all around the world. In the beginning they only met up once a year (now it’s a bit more frequent). I don’t think there were many trust issues. I think what helped is that we had a designated time where we played online games to meet people from other teams and get to know each other

It just occurred to me that we probably self-selected for that since we were always fully remote. Anyone who wanted to be in an office probably wouldn’t apply. OTOH people on zoom basically signed up for in-office work and then forced to switch
