I mean it does more to make us look ridiculous if anything. The juxtaposition of a serious, militarized government against goofy costumes makes opposition to the former look childish and silly; not the message we want to convey

I see that, but we should also consider that it prevents them from showing any results. They want actual anarchists in black block and gas masks so it looks like they’re fighting some militant organization. If people see that their tax dollars are spent fighting this shit, they might start realizing this is all fake
