Lmao you guys act like it was just a fucking snow storm making you miss a day of school. Once we were forced to isolate ourselves from society, crime shot up, suicides shot up, hard drug use shot way the fuck up. Basically every metric to measure anti social behavior in a population is was through the roof, and you guys just pretend like its about not walking at graduation or whatever

The issue was the lack of socialization and how detrimental remote learning was for a lot of young people in their most formative years. We’re going to see a lot more antisocial behavior in the coming years

When you use the term anti social behavior, it also makes one question whether it can be bred by a simple lack of healthy social behavior. I would opine the answer to this is a resounding yes, and would offer a clear explanation as to why isolating oneself (like COVID protocols explicitly stated to do) might cause this.

If you think having to stay home for a few months during the most digitally connected period in human history is worse than millions of people dying, you’re part of the problem.

If you think its so easy and harmless, do it right now.

Bruh literally no one is saying that. Two things can be true at once, no one is suggesting the social and psychological impacts are worse than mass death.

They’re arguing we would have been better off without the lockdowns, which just isn’t true

I did during the pandemic, and would gladly do it again if it meant saving lives. Fortunately, we’re not in that situation right now.

I don't necessarily think so, but they weren't actual lockdowns anyways. I disregarded every COVID protocol there was and never even got it.

Places that had actual lockdowns didn't suffer very much from the pandemic and were able to open up again pretty quickly comparatively, some didn't even close down at all because of their geographic isolation from it. I think we either should have let people be free or done short term meaningful lockdowns, instead of a "consensual lockdown" model for months on end like we actually did.
