I’m a disabled college student who’s had a few gap years due to my disability, I’m on Medicaid and I’m in a rural state where I’m already traveling an hour each way to get meds. If this bill passes it’s literally going to kill me.

i “made too much” at 17/hr when applying for snap while paying out of pocket for school and paying rent. this was pre trump in office like damn how poor do i gotta be to qualify when im hardly making ends meet already

i’m fortunate enough to not be on SNAP, and i still have no clue what cutting that is going to bring. the USDA themselves have said that for (roughly) every 1 billion the government puts back into SNAP, the GDP increases by 1.5 billion. genuinely just feels like MAGA wants poor people dead

I’m married. My wife and I both work full-time in degree-related fields. And we are qualify for Medicaid. Thankfully, because if I want insurance through work, it will literally be 40% of my paycheck. We started looking for jobs in other countries back in April, and I think that’s the most plausible solution instead of hoping that 80million smoothbrains will open their fucking eyes and stop worshiping a corporate grifter.

I get SNAP and Medicaid cause I’m disabled myself. It’s not much for SNAP but it has helped me afford groceries. College itself is expensive he’s cutting that stuff. He already cut affordable healthcare. Millions of people will be in more debt.

Let me explain one thing real quick, at 25 you are responsible for your own health insurance. Even if you come from a wealthy family, surgery without insurance is enough to steal any liquidity you may have, and odds are your families primary asset is the home they live in. That would destroy their retirement, if they choose to assist you.
