I agree, we should be saving “fascism” for regimes that puts people in cages without due process by an agency of people that’s too scared to show their faces, and regimes that burn books, and ban news because they’re too critical of the leader
I feel like yall have used the words fascist and fascism too much that it’s losing its meaning. Just use like authoritarian or big government.

fascism is not solely “putting people into cages without due process” though, that’s why there’s people who dedicated their lives to understanding the similarities between fascist regimes in order to attempt to determine some sort of common ground. if I’m being completely honest, I feel like the issue is more so people being dismissive towards what’s happening today, and not understanding how it relates to the topic of fascism; rather than it being an issue of “overusing the word fascism”.
