Like, isn’t the movie’s main fucking tagline “Ohana means family, family means no one gets left behind?” Well I guess not cause Nani just pawns off Lilo to her neighbors so she can go to college. Now the message is “family means you’re being held back and you should leave them to serve yourself.” Unbelievable.

Yes, Nani actually gives lilo’s custody to her neighbors so she can go off to college and study marine biology. The movie also totally removes the “ugly duckling” storybook scene.
