Tariffs have nothing to do with inflation, it’s a consumer tax and a consumer tax means less consumption which means slow growth so companies have less incentive to spend. Couple this with federal reserve balance sheet expansion which is what truly causes inflation which causes rate hikes and the cycle u explained. Stagflation duo

Tariffs lead to both slower growth (because they distort trade and raise costs) and higher prices (because imports become more expensive).

I mean yes if u use the governments definition of inflation (based on prices) but that is letting them off on so much. Inflation before we changed the definition so they can get away with it was devaluing the currency aka modern day money printing
